Definitely not hungary in Hungary...

I've just returned from a brilliant week holiday in Hungary. My maternal side of the family are Hungarian so we spent the time exploring and catching up with that side of the family.

Hungary is a beautiful country and I find not that well visited by the British! Budapest is one of the most beautiful european countries I have been too with so much history and beautiful architecture. Everyone we met was extremely friendly. The food is plentiful in Hungary and all Hungarians are extremely hospitable, you definitely will not be hungary whilst there!!

We visited Eger which is a beautiful spa town to the north west of Budapest. Usually the favourite holiday spot of German's you com enjoy the healing powers of the thermal baths are just wander around the beautiful town.

Whilst there we were lucky to attend the wedding of my cousin, it was very different to any English wedding I had attended, we didn't finish until until about midnight and then they proceeded to bring out the midnight feast, just in case you were still hungary!!

For any of you wondering where to visit for an exciting, beautiful city break in Europe, please consider Hungary, it's easy to get there and you definitely won't regret your visit!
